1. Which is your favorite series from your list and why?
As of right now, it would have to be Smallville. The 24 love has been waning due to the long hiatus, but Smallville is still brand new for me. I wasn't really a Superman fan, but watching Clark Kent develop into SM has been very interesting.

2. If you were to pair two characters from 1 and 4, who would they be?
Chloe and Michael. Chloe always goes for the bad boys, and Michael would be perfect for her.

3. What is the one thing you'd like to change about 3's plotline?
All of Season 5, with the exception of Warrior Gabrielle. The twilight of the gods was horribly done.

4. If both main characters of 2 and 5 were falling off a cliff, which one?
Definitely House. Jack's survived worse than that. A little fall off a cliff wouldn't even hurt him.

5. Which even was the most horrible for you in 1?
Tossup between Lex firing Chloe from the Daily Planet and Chloe being arrested by the DDS.

6. Which is your least favorite character in 2?
Audrey. Nothing but hate for her.

7. If the antagonist of 3 were to rape the main character of 1, what would you do?
That could never happen. Ares might be a god, but Clark would slap him around like a punk.

8. What song reminds you of 5?
I have no idea, honestly.

9. Of 1, 3, and 5, which is easiest to think about?
By far Smallville, just because it's still new for me.

10. Are the protagonists of 2 and 4 similar?
In some ways. Both Jack and Nikita fight terrorists, and they've both been through hell because of the work they do.

Okay, I'd like to hear why you chose: 24, Board Games, Cartoons, Fanfic, Video Games, Women's Soccer, and Xena

This is currently my favorite show, supplanting Xena. I like the show because it makes me think. Most programs out there are simply mindless comedies or formulaic dramas. Not 24. It not only handles divisive political issues extremely well, but it also presents both sides to each issue, and does so in a sympathetic manner. The real time format of the show is also unique, with each epi-hour taking place over one hour. Another major draw is the show's main character, federal agent Jack Bauer. He's a man who is very dedicated to serving his country, and will go to just about any means to keep the country safe. Many times, these means are frowned on by his superiors, so Jack is often forced to break laws, many times with help from his friends, and work off the books. In the end, he's almost always proven right, and the country is more or less safe.

However, the job Jack does comes with a price, one that he has paid time and time again. Almost everyone that ever meant anything to him is dead, crippled, or they disown him. Despite that, he remains loyal to his country. The thing that drew me most into the show, however, was Chloe O'Brian, a quirky, snarky, computer technician who is not afraid to speak her mind at any time, no matter how inappropriate her words are. Chloe also is incredibly loyal to Jack, more so than anyone else Jack has worked with, and will willingly do illegal things for him, even if it could cost her her job, or send her to prison, just because she trusts Jack completely.

It has its moments that make me want to scream, and pull my hair out. Those, however, are few and far between. Bottom line: no matter how unbelievable this show may get at times, I watch. And I'm entertained.

Board Games

Board games for me are a way to take a break from the sometimes addictive world of the Internet. I like them because for the most part, they're not complicated. Any two people could play most games. And they're fun, too, especially when my family gets together for holidays (oh the craziness). Some of my favorite games are: Dark Battleship (a variation of regular Batlleship where your opponent doesn't tell you when you sink a ship), Backgammon, and a variation of Parcheesi called Ludo.

Cartoons

Cartoons are one of my favorites because they take me back to when I was a kid, coming home from school and turning on whatever cartoon was on. Some of them are incredibly cheesy, and blatant in their morals, but that's part of the fun.

Fanfic

Why fanfic? Because canon sucks at times. Fanfic is a great opportunity to explore the 'what-if's that pop up during any series/book/movie. Don't like how a particular episode ended? Change it. Want to see your favorite couple finally get together, even if TPTB won't allow it? Write it. As a fanfic writer for the past 4 months, writing allows me to get into the minds of the characters in a way that canon doesn't. However, the problem with fanfic is, a lot of it tends to be terribly written, with awful grammar and bad spelling. Or worse, the 'plot' is just a means for a step-by-step guide to sex, which is so not my thing. Separating the good from the bad is worth the effort, though, as some of the fics out there are brilliant pieces of work.

Video Games

Video games are a release for me. After a really frustrating day, going home and killing monsters is very cathartic. That, and they're fun. Nothing like commanding an army to conquer the world, or taking your favorite team to the championship, or defeating a frustrating boss after hours of hard work. I'm more of an old-school gamer myself. Most of the modern-day systems are too complicated and require intensive tutorials to even start up, or they focus too much on the graphics and not enough on the actual story or gameplay. My favorite types of games are the ones that you can just pick up a controller and play, which for me means RPG's. Some of my favorite games are Phantasy Star IV, Final Fantasy VI, Dragon Warrior, Golden Sun 2, Wild Arms, and Rise of Nations.

Women's Soccer

I love the sport of soccer (or football, as the rest of the world calls it). It's a thrill to watch. Those that hate the sport don't get the beauty of the game. It's a total roller coaster ride. Nothing like watching a forward blast a ball from 30+ yards out right past a keeper and into the net, or seeing a keeper make an unbelievable save to keep their team in the game. It's also a sport that has a rigid time limit to it. Unlike other major sports, most games are over in 2 hours. The reason I like watching the women play over the men is because the men for the most part are overpaid, whining divas who complain about even the slightest fouls, whereas the women are barely paid (or in most cases not paid at all), and they don't act like divas.

Xena: Warrior Princess

A spinoff of Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena was my first ever real TV addiction. It often gets dismissed as a "campy" show by the mainstream audience. Parts of it could be considered "campy", but it also tackled serious issues, while presenting us with a hero who was flawed at best. In her past, Xena was a warlord who did horrible, almost unforgivable things. Hercules ultimately convinced her that she was, despite all the wrongs she had committed, a good person. Xena decides to right the wrongs she committed by helping people in need. However, she struggles with her darkside, and is constantly tempted to return to what she was by Ares, the God of War. What keeps her on the right path is her friend and companion Gabrielle, an aspiring bard who was saved by Xena, and travels alongside the Warrior Princess helping people who need their help. A chatty girl full of life when we first meet her, Gabrielle slowly changes over the course of the series. She grows away from the village girl into a confident woman who can more than take care of herself.

1.) Why do you dislike #11 so much?

(Xena/Ares) After all the bad shit Ares has done to Xena over the years (framing her for murder, driving her insane, putting her in the body of her worst enemy, sleeping with Gabrielle's daughter), the idea of them together is not a good one.

2.) Who is someone you know that ships #13?

(Nadia/Doyle) No one personally, but there are quite a few Nadia/Doyle writers out there.

3.) What would be your ideal scenario for couple #3 (even if the show isn't on the air anymore)?

(House/Cuddy) Both wake up one morning and realize they're perfect for each other. No more tension in the workplace.

4.) Which is your favorite episode for #1? Try to pick just one, if you can.

(Xena/Gabrielle) Oh, this one is WAY too easy. One Against an Army, Season 3. Gabrielle gets poisoned, and Xena has to choose between stopping an army rampaging through Greece, or saving Gabrielle's life.

(Bill/Karen) Since the end of Season 5 when Bill asks her out for breakfast.

6.) What's the story with #8? What made you stop liking them/caring?

(Jack/Kate) Kate hasn't been around since the Season 3 premiere, and Jack has moved on. So have I, to Jack/Chloe.

(Jack/Chloe-Xena/Borias) This is another easy one. Jack/Chloe by far. Even if Borias wasn't dead.

(Jack/Audrey-Gabrielle/Joxer) Another easy one. Jack/Audrey. Audrey is just so wrong for Jack.

#1 (Xena/Gabrielle) and #2 (Jack/Chloe) My two true passions, although Jack/Chloe just barely edges out Xena/Gabrielle.

#10 (Jack/Audrey) Ares did save Eve and Gabrielle's lives, and Joxer died trying to save Gabrielle's life. Audrey, however, has caused Jack nothing but grief.

(Jack/Chloe-Xena/Gabrielle) The whole time issue would have to be worked out, but once it is, it'd be so great. Xena and Jack would get into a fight over who has done the worst shit, and Gabrielle would probably annoy Chloe to no end.

(Jack/Chloe) No, dammit. TPTB consider a Jack/Chloe pairing as an act of desperation, so it's not going to happen.

(Xena/Borias) Unfortunately, no. Borias turned against Xena during the Battle of Corinth, only to be killed by one of her lieutenants when he attacked her camp.

(Nadia/Doyle) Both coming back for Season 7.

19.) If only one could happen, which would you prefer - #2 or #6?

(Jack/Chloe-Bill/Karen) Bill/Karen has already happened, so Jack/Chloe.

Leap of Faith

One-shot. Takes place after Season 6. Chloe faces the consequences of her actions.

Chloe stifled a yawn as she sat on her couch, flicking through the various magazines she had read 50 times already. I hate vacations. Especially forced ones. At least it's only a couple more days, then I can get back to work. She sniffed in amusement. A couple weeks ago, I would have done anything for a few days off. Now, all I want to do is go back.

Nadia had forced her to take some time off after that day none of them would soon forget, and Chloe had been too eager to accept at the time. Take 4 days off, spend some time with Morris, relax. That was the plan. Not anymore. Morris had left the day before, saying he wasn't ready to be a father, and Chloe, to her surprise, didn't miss him. If he doesn't want any part of this, fine. This child and I will survive without him.

Her phone rang and Chloe jumped to answer it. "Yeah?"

"Chloe, it's Nadia. I need you to come in today."

"I thought you didn't want me to come in for a few days."

"Things have changed. Chloe, this is important."

Something's not right. "Fine, I'll be there in half an hour." Without waiting for a response, Chloe hung up the phone and grabbed her jacket, heading out the door and making the short drive to CTU. I don't like this at all. But I might as well see what she wants. Passing quickly through security, Chloe made her way through the bullpen, pausing only to glare at Carrie Turner, who was hovering around. What the hell is she doing here? It's bad enough she makes my life miserable from Division, now I have to see her here? Terrific. This had better be important, Nadia.

She glanced up at the director's office, catching Nadia's eye. The younger woman motioned for Chloe to come up. Chloe slowly walked up the stairs and into Nadia's office. Nadia was sitting down at her desk, listening to her visitor talk her ear off. "Chloe. Sit down."

Chloe quickly sat down, her eyes flicking towards the man standing there. That's that jerk from Division who had to stick his nose in.

"You remember Ben Kram, from Division."

"I do. Nadia, what's going on? You said this was important."

"Division finished its investigation into the break-in. Needless to say, they're not happy about what happened the other day."

Chloe shifted. "What does that have to do with me?"

Nadia glanced down at a piece of paper. "They also looked into everything CTU had done since the start of the crisis. More specifically, everything you did."

"Everything I did? What are you talking about?"

Kram glared at her. "I think you know what we're talking about, O'Brian. All the times you went off protocol the other day."

Great. "I have no idea what you're talking about."

"Let me refresh your memory, then. You nearly jeopardized an operation by trying to track Jack Bauer's whereabouts using an illegal satellite, almost causing us to lose our only lead. You wasted your time digging up Agent Manning's past history with Hamri Al-Assad, instead of using it to find Abu Fayed. You covered for your ex-husband by not revealing he was drinking on duty, a situation you were required to report the second you found out about it. You used CTU resources to cut the power to the Russian Consulate, allowing Bauer to break in illegally. You left your post in the middle of a crisis to give Bauer information on Audrey Raines that he wasn't cleared for. And most importantly, you gave Bauer the schematics to the suitcase nukes, information he was willing to use to give the Chinese technology that would have compromised Russian defenses. Any of this ringing a bell, O'Brian?"

Chloe looked down, unable to deny what Kram was telling her.

"Do you have anything to say for yourself?"

"Yes, I do. Jack was going to be sacrificed to a terrorist, one who ended up being behind everything that happened. If I hadn't have found out about Curtis' history with Assad, Assad would have been killed, and he wouldn't have given us Gredenko's name. Morris wasn't drinking, and he was still able to do his job. Me cutting that power allowed Jack to interrogate the consul, and find Gredenko."

"That's all well and good, O'Brian, but the fact remains that you violated protocol."

Chloe stood up. "Yes, I violated protocol, but my actions helped save millions of lives."

"Did giving Bauer those schematics save millions of lives? No. The two of you almost caused a war."

".......Jack had no intention of giving that circuit board to the Chinese. He was going to destroy it, after Audrey Raines was safe."

Kram gazed at her intently. "I sense some hesitation in your defense of Bauer. Having second thoughts?"

Chloe returned his stare, then looked away. "That wasn't something I'm proud of. If I had to do it all over again..... I probably would have said no. Risking a war to save one person's life was stupid." She raised her head defiantly. "But I stand by everything else I did. I wouldn't have changed my mind on any of those decisions."

He nodded slightly, then turned to Nadia. She stared Chloe in the eye. "Chloe..... based on your actions that day, I have no choice but to relieve you of your command."

"You're demoting me?"

"No, Chloe. I'm firing you, effective immediately."

Figures. I knew something was wrong, and I was right. "I'll go, but let me resign instead. Give me time to get my department in shape before I leave."

Nadia shook her head firmly. "I'm sorry, Chloe, but I can't let you resign. I have to fire you. If I don't, someone else will, and I'll be fired, too."

Chloe scoffed. "Then Jack was right all along. I should have listened to him when he told me to leave."

"You should feel lucky we're not prosecuting you, O'Brian" Kram snapped. "You were already on thin ice after the mess with Logan. You think the rules don't apply to you, and you can ignore the ones you don't like. Any halfway decent director would have you out the door in no time. Why Bill Buchanan kept you around is incomprehensible. Just another sign of his poor leadership."

Both Chloe and Nadia gave Kram nasty looks. "Bill Buchanan was a great director" Chloe snapped back. "He was the best director this place has ever had."

"Chloe, you're not helping yourself here" Nadia warned her.

"Not helping myself? You've already fired me. Nothing I can say will change that."

"Chloe, please. Get your stuff and go, before you end up in Holding."

Chloe glared at Nadia, then shot Kram one of her trademark scowls before walking out. Two guards caught up with her at her station. "We need your access codes, Ms. O'Brian" the first one said, holding out his hand. Chloe dug her credentials out and dropped them on the desk. She waited patiently as her belongings were gathered, then she found herself being escorted out of the building. The second guard thrust the bag containing her personal effects at Chloe quickly. "You're free to go, but you're no longer permitted to enter the premises."

"Like I would ever come back here" she retorted, getting into her car and driving off quickly, fuming. Fired. After everything I've given that place, they have the nerve to fire me. Fine, I was going to quit anyway. Not like I can't find something else.

She pulled up outside her home and stopped. No way. Jack was standing outside her door. Chloe quickly got out and walked up to him slowly. "Jack?"

"Chloe."

"What are you doing here?"

"I wanted to see you. I never got the chance to thank you for everything you did for me the other day. I know you risked a lot for me. Thank you."

Chloe wanted to be mad at him. Her decision to help him had finally cost her her job. But try as she might, the anger she was expecting simply was not there. Instead she merely looked away. "You're welcome."

Jack looked at her curiously. "Are you all right?"

Chloe shook her head. "No. I'm not all right, Jack."

"What's wrong? Did something happen between you and Morris?"

"Morris is gone. He left yesterday. Said he wasn't ready to-" Chloe shut up quickly. He doesn't need to know about my problems.

"Wasn't ready to what, Chloe?"

She shrugged. "It's nothing."

Jack forced her to look at him. "What is it, Chloe?"

"......He said he wasn't ready to.... to be a father."

"You're pregnant?"

A nod. "Yeah."

"And he just left?" She nodded again. Jack felt rage at what Morris had done to someone he claimed to love. "Where is he?"

"I don't know." Chloe saw the rage pouring out of Jack. "Jack, don't."

"How could he do that to you? I'm going to find him."

Chloe grabbed his arm. "Let him go, Jack. Morris made his decision. If he doesn't want to be here, I'm not going to force him. This child and I are going to get along just fine without him."

"......All right. If you're sure." Jack glanced down at her stomach. "Have you told anyone at CTU about this?"

Chloe scowled. "No, and even if I did, they wouldn't care. I've been relieved of duty.... permanently."

Jack looked shocked. "They fired you? Why?"

"Because of everything I did the other day for you. They said I was lucky I wasn't being prosecuted for what I did."

Jack sniffed. "Everything you did for them, and they fire you? You are the best analyst CTU has ever had. No one else can do your job."

"I know that, Jack" she replied. "But it's not my decision. I was going to leave anyway, once something better came along."

"I'm sorry, Chloe. This is my fault."

"Don't you dare blame yourself, Jack. I could have said no every time, but I did what you asked me to because you were doing the right thing. I have no one to blame but myself."

He nodded. "What are you going to do now?"

"Leave LA. Now that I'm no longer working for CTU, I have no more reason to stay here. This city has too many bad memories for me. I need a fresh start."

"Let me come with you."

Chloe stepped back. "What?"

"I need a fresh start, too. I have nothing that would keep me here."

"What about Kim?"

Jack looked away. "She wants nothing to do with me. I have to let her go, Chloe, let her live her life. I've lost everyone that ever meant anything to me.... except for you. I don't want to lose you, too." He looked back at Chloe. "I don't care where we go, as long as we go together."

Chloe smiled, her first real smile in a long time, and nodded. "Okay. Just don't expect me to become one of those soccer moms."

"I wouldn't dream of it."
